You can Meditate to spend your Attribute point. Head further up the stairs and defeat two more enemies (you should level up at this point). Head up the stairs on the right and defeat the enemy there. After defeating all the enemies you will come to a locked door that tells you to defeat Silan. Be sure to break open all doors to get more xp. There are many enemies here, and you will learn the basics of combat. There is only one way to go at this point, so follow the path until you reach the Plains of Adal.
